Our Commitment
simmmy Inc. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to our website and mobile applications.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA for our website, and follow platform-specific accessibility guidelines for iOS (Apple Human Interface Guidelines) and Android (Material Design Accessibility).
Our website and app include proper ARIA labels, semantic HTML, and meaningful alt text on images to support screen readers such as VoiceOver (iOS/macOS) and TalkBack (Android).
We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Our light and dark themes both meet WCAG AA contrast requirements. Colour is never used as the sole means of conveying information.
All website functionality is available via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible throughout the site. Tab order follows a logical reading sequence. Modal dialogs trap focus appropriately.
The simmmy app supports Dynamic Type on iOS and font scaling on Android. Touch targets meet minimum size requirements. The app works with Switch Control and other assistive technologies.
We respect the prefers-reduced-motion system setting. Users who prefer reduced motion will see minimal animations across our website. All decorative animations can be paused.
The page language is programmatically set. Content uses plain, clear language. We avoid jargon where possible. Multi-language support (including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu) is in development for 2025.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, we acknowledge some current limitations:
- Some older user-generated profile photos may lack descriptive alt text — we are working on AI-generated descriptions for these.
- The zodiac wheel animation on the homepage may be difficult to interpret for screen reader users — we provide equivalent text-based information nearby.
- Our in-app tarot card reading feature is being enhanced with audio descriptions in a future update.
