⚠️ Never send money or financial information
Anyone who asks for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or your banking details is likely a scammer. This is the most common romance scam. Report them immediately through the app and contact your bank if you've already sent anything.
Before You Meet
- Chat within the Simmmy app before sharing personal contact details
- Video call before meeting in person — it confirms they're real
- Never share your home address, workplace, or financial information
- Be cautious if someone asks to move off Simmmy immediately
- Use a Google Voice or similar number if you want to share a number early
Meeting in Person
- Always meet in a public place for the first several dates
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going and who you're meeting
- Arrange your own transport to and from the date
- Don't leave your drink unattended or accept drinks from strangers
- Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, leave
Red Flags to Watch For
- They refuse to video call or always have excuses
- Their profile photos look like stock images or model shots
- They profess strong feelings very quickly ("love bombing")
- They ask for money for any reason — medical, travel, emergency
- Their story has inconsistencies or changes frequently
- They pressure you to share explicit photos

- We work with law enforcement and will provide data when legally required
How to Report
- In the app: Tap ⋯ on any profile or message → Report
- Block: Tap ⋯ → Block — they won't see your profile
- Email: safety@simmmy.com with screenshots if possible
- All reports are reviewed by a real human within 24 hours
- We take action on every verified report, including permanent bans
